It must be said, one of the best things to have come from being part of the online community of bloggers, wedding planners, photographers, stationers, florists etc (the list goes on!) are the wonderful relationships that we have developed with both local and internationally based friends and suppliers. One such person is the lovely Laura Dombrowski, the editor from Couture Colorado – a one of a kind Colorado wedding inspiration blog and an invaluable resource to brides planning a Colorado wedding, featuring inspirations such as real life weddings, cool new products from the latest fashion trends and even wedding color schemes. Laura and her husband recently visited our shores and contacted Travel Concepts to assist them in planning an amazing and tailor-made 2-week itinerary around South Africa, culminating in Cape Town. Her aim was to inspire American brides to travel further afield for their honeymoons and a trip to South Africa would prove how unforgettable an African honeymoon is! In this 2 part feature we have chosen to share the honeymoon stories of 4 international couples, each with their own stories of adventure, discovery and of course – romance!

Young sweet hearts Katie and Ryan from England exchanged vows on a secluded beach in Yzerfontein with their closest friends and family. Their wedding night was spent at the illustrious Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town and early the next morning they flew off for a romantic seven night stay at The Indigo Bay Resort, located on Bazaruto Island, Mozambique. Katie had the following to say on her island honeymoon experience:

Local girl Janine, married German-born Andreas  in a magical wedding set in the heart of the Paarl winelands. Living in Dubai surrounded by modern skyscapers and sand dunes, this vivacious couple wanted a tropical honeymoon  away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A week spent being romanced and pampered in style was just what they were looking for! Our travel team suggested a tropical island getaway to Bazaruto Island just off the coast of Mozambique.
